It's passed past the defenders. The forward's at the ball -- and he got a leg on it. RIGHT AT THE GOAL. THE KEEPER DIVESJUST PAST HIS GLOVES!!!! GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL

The crowd goes wild, 50,000 miniature flags wave violently as the fans of that country bounce up and down on their seats (they sure as hell aren't sitting). Spectators at home closed their shops to watch the game and they're going wild. If the English were playing, someone is getting punched. All in all, the world is going crazy... except for the US. Here we're like "Nice shot... so that'll be $7.50, sir." That or we wait for the news the next day and MAYBE skim over the sports section about the Cup.

Brazil is playing their first game today... I wish I wasn't at work today because that is a team who, in the past, has taken the game of soccer to an art form. Certainly this year they'll blow the competition away as usual.
