big storm, hilarity ensues

I work for a real estate developer as an intern for the summer (worked there last summer also), and we're building a mixed use site (a 'town center' they call it, with a movie theater, condos, retail, restaurants, etc.) around 4 existing office buildings, one of which houses our office. Needless to say, there's always a ton of construction around us, but at the same time lots of people who work in these office buildings.

One evening, there was a big storm where I work. I think there was a flood watch in the area, not sure. Regardless, here's some footage from a security camera outside one of our office buildings. It faces some of our property the is temporarily a parking lot until construction of a Safeway begins, but around it there's lots of other construction going on around it.

Everyone in the office found it hilarious, and surprisingly enough we haven't heard a complaint from these people. However, they did step around a fence you can't clearly see in the video that is clearly marked as a construction site with no trespassing signs, etc.

We think they were people cutting across our site. Sorta stupid to take a shortcut through a construction site, don't ya think?
