A Wind Chill advisory is in effect for most of Minnesota through Saturday evening...wind chill readings from -35 to -45 are likely

The coldest weather of the year is beginning to move into the state. Temperatures overnight could drop below -30 in the Arrowhead.

It is going to warm up slightly early next week, but temperatures will most likely stay below normal for the rest of January

Friday: Snow early, then becoming dangerously cold with northwest winds gusting over 30mph resulting in wind chills of -20 to -30 Friday night: Mostly cloudy and bitter cold. Low near -15
