All SOE will be doing is basically marketing, advertising, billing, and hosting. At the least, SOE doesn't have queues on their servers.

All in-game production, programming, GMs, etc, will all be handled by Sigil employees. Nothing about the gameplay will be affected by SOE in any way.

As a bonus, anyone who plays EQ2 will be able to play VG under the station pass, as well as anyone who may even still play EQOA.

Yea, SOE wont be touching the gameplay and stuff but what hasnt SOE messed up yet. As for no queues, their servers dont have the players to even use a queue system. What wrorries me the most is SOE's advertising dept.

SOE I guess allows gold selling on particular servers for some of their games. I can't wait to see an in-game billboard for IGE.

They say that they won't be involved in game design or any of that. That may be true at launch but have to see later on. I wouldn't play a game where SOE runs it. Nerfed my necros repeatedly in EQOA and seems they have a long track record of revamping and nerfing.

lol...first off VG won't have any gold selling, and secondly, Necros were way over-powered in EQOA.

Yea, necro needed huge ass nerf. Sucks it took them almost 2 years to do it.

All in all, I hope Vanguard does great and that SOE doesnt affect it in anyway. Hope they never get the idea of 'adventure packs'

Necros probably were overpowered in comparison to other classes (or maybe the other classes were too weak or the game poorly designed to begin with?) Kinda sucks though the toons I built were dismantled more than a year after I finished them.
Changing the rules mid way through bothered me.

I saw this article about SOE headquarters and they were talking about how cool EQ2 was, and how huge the subcription list is, and all that jazz.

It was funny cause they showed some fat bald guys with swords and stuff at the offices. Yeah, pretty stereotypical.
Putting the 'mental' in Elemental since 2005!
