How to communicate effectively with gold farmers

Gold farmers... we've all gotten the whispers (if you haven't, you will) or had run ins with them while questing or farming. So, what do you do... type a few choice words in english and /ignore ? Not very satisfying is it?

Well, since the chinese farming population has grown on windrunner I think our knowledge on how to properly insult them should grow also.

First off... the chinese national swear "Tamade" literally tanslated means "his mother's" is the equivilant of saying fuck you. Not the most effective way to upset a chinese person but can be especially effective on those born in lower class families.

Fuck your mother or in chinese "cao ni ma" is always a great way to insult that annoying farmer... usually the easiest way to insult some one from china is to attack his family/ancestors. cao ni nainai (your grandmother) and cao ni zuzong (your ancestor) are considered more severe versions of cao ni ma.

Another easy way to piss that farmer off is to insult their sense of honor... “Ni mei you wenhua. Ni bu shi dongxi� which translates to "You’re uncultured. You’re worth nothing." which is basicly a cultured way of calling some one a piece of shit. Which is usually followed up by a very angry “Cao ni ma! Tamade! Cao ni ma! Cao ni ma!� Translation: “Fuck your mother! Fuck! Fuck your mother! Fuck your mother!�. A simple “Ni mei you shenme dongxi", the ghetto way of saying you're a piece of shit, might be a fitting response.


You could also call him a "waiguo guizi" or foreign devil but that could also be taken as a somewhat respectful insult... Chinese normally only call those foreigners who had been able to bully or invade them "devils" as in meiguo guizi (american devil) but you would never hear them refer to a vietnamese person as yuenan guizi "Vietnamese devil" because they are not "good" enough to be guizi.

Two famous swears from chinese literature that i especially like...
"er mu bi ye" your mother is a servant
"zhui yan yi chou" heir of a castrate

The Chinese consider that a lower voice when swearing is ineffectual; rather swearing must be done loudly. When westerners swear, the abuse is meant for the ears of the person swore at. But when the Chinese swear, they do so more for everyone else to hear. The point of swearing loudly is to make the person lose face before others.

I hope this helps over come any language barriers you may encounter while dealing with chinese goldfarmers.

yes they gettin worse, i did get more tells than them too but them just the 1s i took screen shot of. they must not be sellin as much gold now thats why all the excessive tells latey

I know, it's sick! I get atleast 4 or 5 tells a night asking me to buy gold... they spam their /whisper macro like it was decursive.

Anyway, just make a reply macro with “Ni mei you wenhua. Ni bu shi dongxi� and i guarentee, if they are chinese, that will piss them off more than any litany of curses you could type to them in english.
