Hmm. As i recall, the third dimension is depth.
First 2 being height and width.
I can see the humor in 2-dimensional cartoons trying to comprehend depth, but i don't see how the idea was captured there.
Lemme drink a few beers then watch it again.
Or better yet, I'll get some sticky icky from CP.
Man imagine a 2D world.
When something's comming toward you it would just get bigger and bigger.
If you knew how big it was you'd know when it was going to hit you and you could just step to the side.
But If you didn't and you stepped to the side it would still get bigger, but then it would get smaller as it got further away.
Unless it changed direction and moved toward you again and you didn't know it.
Then it would get bigger and bigger till it hit you.
