Death Note

I found this anime while browsing through ANN earlier today - it peaked my interest because of it's high rating and I recognized a few of the voice actors in the series. From what I can tell, there's only been one episode aired in Japan so far.
It's about a straight-A student who comes upon the notebook of a Shinigami, and whoever's name is written in the book dies. The student decides to use this notebook to cleanse Japan and the world of crime and immorality while the Shinigami looks on.
I'm not sure where the series is going, but it seems like it might be promising. The animation is high-quality, the story seems pretty dark... all good things, right? It was adapted from the Death Note manga which has really high ratings. I'm downloading that right now to see what it's like.
Here's a link to the episode I downloaded and watched.

Yeah... I'm sorry. We feed into each other's addictions.Rayne wrote:With Sekah in the guild is this Anime section going to be more popular, cause i dont think i can handle that.

And, on an anime-related note, [Live-eviL] released the second subbed Death Note episode earlier today. It looks like they'll be the ones releasing the episodes the fastest.
I'll watch it when I go to bed tonight.
