Pot has been defeated :/

Post by Cyren »

Voters in Colorado and Nevada both voted NOT to legalize 1oz or less of Marijuana by a pretty good margin. I still feel this issue is not very well understood by many people. I guess on the positive side Denver has passed that law (1oz or less) basically decriminalized it, and for the rest of the state usually it is just a fine they don't bother with pressing charges.

The one thing that complicates this issue I think is the HUGE amount of kids using pot (some say 75-80% are below the age of 18 ) which I'm not sure is a good thing.

Doesn't matter if local governments legalize or decriminalize marijuana it still falls under federal jurisdiction.

Government needs to get off our asses. They should be there only to protect us from other countries, and enforce laws. Not to "protect us" from R.J.Reynolds, McDonalds, gambling, and pot.

While that may be true usually the feds don't get involved with small amounts of marijuana.
