I was over at a friend's house and he had the Japanese demo for Folk Soul (PS3). He played through one character, I played through the other and I was absolutely blown away.
The combat system is intriguing and seems like it can become rather involved the further you progress into the game. The graphics are amazing and the character models are really well done. A lot of the stuff I saw reminds me of the MacFarlane twisted fairy tale models, and I eat that sort of stuff up.
Check out the trailer here:
I think it's due out in Japan soonish, and is due for release here in October. I figure this'll do me 'til FFXIII comes out.
Anyone else know much about this?

I haven't seen a RPG that forced me to play for 10 hours a day for a week straight since FF7. And this game is no different. Looks pretty but if i'm reading the story right its just a replay of every other rpg in the last couple years. 1 person trying to find someone else, another person who doesn't know why hes there and is cold to others. And somehow along the journey they find each other and maybe something more.
I'll have to give up on offline rpgs soon.
