yeah, it's actually really easy to build a pc and their are tons of guides on the net... just make sure you get a sli compatible motherboard with pci-express and socket 939 (AMD FTW!)

I'm a big fan of dell myself, I've owned 2 with zero problems, they are also very quiet for the amount of power they pack. I've also been keeping track over the years and the professionals generally give the Dell XPS machines a score of between 8-10 / 10. That one that you picked out is pretty darn good, and you can always add more ram later because it's cheap. Those 19" ultrasharp LCD's really kick ass too. If you can afford that, I can guarentee you will be happy.

:)

I say this and yes the computer I play wow on I built myself. If you've never done it before it's not a bad deal to have someone do it for you.

As far as Dell being hard to upgrade that is a lie. You cannot change out the power supply or motherboard on a Dell. Everything else is fair game.

No offense but that case is ugly! I think your MB and Soundcard are a little overkill, I'd put that money into more/better RAM and an ATI video card... Canadian ftw!

I like that case... spiderman is cool :D but the mobo is definitely not overkill, it allows for a lot of upgradeability. pci express and socket 939 is the way to go right now.

Umm...Mobo's are the heart of the system, and Dell tends to use very shitty power supplies. If you upgrade your video card to a higher-end card, you could risk your power supply shorting out and starting on fire, ruining everything.

A good power supply is one of the most important parts of a PC. Not being able to change it is a big problem.

I like this computer.....
Need an upgraded video card though but I will get that in a couple weeks with another paycheck.

Whats the equipment you need to make your computer use your TV as a screen?

You can probably get a computer way better than that, with a good card atleast a 6800, 2gig of ram, AMD processor for about 1000CAD

They make nice laptops! But for the parts, price isnt worth much.
Also, if you have any computer stores up there, usually charge 100 dollars to setup the parts and the bios

That's a media center PC, so you'd have to get a more expensive all-in-wonder card but it would have the TV-out stuff you want to work with your super duper TV.
