So I haven't talked to you guys in forever, and I kind of hate it. I'm thinking about joining back up during the summer, not completely sold quite yet, especially with my current hobby.
A couple friends of mine and I were driving around, when one of them started talking about an abandoned orphanage that we had passed. She had to go home, so we went and dropped her off. The guy driving, Jim, asked if we were all interested into going into the orphanage. At that point, it was just me, Jim, and another friend named Alex. So begins my new hobby: urban exploration. We currently have explored all of the orphanage, save for a couple of rooms that we heard footsteps near. We did a bunch of background research on it, and I have to say, it's a fairly happy building, filled with warm memories and shit like that. So clearly we weren't very happy with what we had found.
We are currently planning to go and explore three different places - the old Cook County hospital in Chicago, an abandoned power plant in southern illinois, and the manteno insane asylum. I was wondering if you guys would like some pictures from there because from what I've seen, they are all very cool looking, and just creepy as fuck. Let me know, and I'll hook up you up with pictures / dates when we are actually going through with our "raids." Oh, and congratulations on #1 on Rexxar, unless YARG is somehow ahead of you.

Re: Hey!
Urban exploring is a lot of fun.
I actually was able to walk around Beijing by myself at like 1 am once. It was so weird, you'd expect it to be busy and such kind of like New York, but the streets were dead aside from constructions and the few stragglers. It was such a surreal feeling, kind of like being one of the last few survivors on earth. I can definitely see why you picked up that hobby.
If you ever find yourself in CT, we got a bunch of crazy places up here. There's actually a ex mental hospital at the depot campus by the main campus here at UCONN. My friend went there for a photography class, and took some really creepy pictures. They then heard footsteps and saw a blue light coming form the basement. That's when they GTFO of there.
YAY FOR CREEPY PLACES!

Re: Hey!
Sorry this has taken me so long, I have actually considered resubscribing. I feel like I've been gone for so long I'll be incredibly out of it though. If I do start playing again, it'll be during the summer, and I have no idea if I want to play during college.
On urban exploring, apparently Manteno may have been torn down, which really sucks. Probably the most badass place we have plans to go to. My friend Jim is going to go check it out when he goes up to chicago, because it's possible with budget cuts it's still there. Manteno has some crazy shit in it, like writing all over one of the bathrooms. I realllyyyy want to check it out. And apparently the town/village is so small they have like 1-2 cops. Jackpot.
