Re: iPhone 4
Why? Because it looks purty? What about functionality?

Re: iPhone 4
It's a phone that does everything I need it to do plus so much more. Engineering wise it's impressive. Oh and very purty. Functional enough for me! :big-grin: Just thought people who are gadget-minded like me would like to check it out.

Tsikura loves Apple; he uses an Ipad as a pillow. A PILLOW!

Re: iPhone 4
I'm horribly unimpressed with the iPhone 4.
Not to mention it's still on at&t.
I'm surprised that a phone already released [Sprint's htc EVO] actually has better specs than the iPhone 4.
I also wasn't wowed from what I've seen of the new os for the iPhone. I was pretty unimpressed.
Not to mention android community > apple community.

Re: iPhone 4
There will always be "the competition" debate. I say get the best of both worIds and choose what you want. I used to be very skeptical when it came to anything Apple. I own a PC and have an Android phone. I've been using the school's iMacs to design and have concluded I'll probably invest in one when I graduate. PC for gaming, Mac for Design. Recently my curiosity got the best of me and I caved into buying an iPad. It's been very useful. It's definitely not for everyone, but a very convenient gadget if you don't have an iPhone or iPod Touch already. Sure I'd like to have an iPhone 4, but not willing to give up my Android quite yet. Maybe when I get some hands on time with the new OS I'll change my mind. Regardless, its still a stunning piece of engineering.

Re: iPhone 4
The iPhone 4 looks aesthetically nice but hardware wise, the technology has been out there on other phones (especially in the Asian market) for years already. Marketing has been the savior for Apple for the most part. The whole Mac are good for media related software and PC for gaming really is overdone. Most of the time, applications are coded in a Windows environment then ported to work on an Apple OS.
Would I get an iPhone4? Maybe. Operating system wise, Android is alot easier to work with and you aren't at the mercy of Steve Jobs' ethics.
Vespers, oh god no I wouldn't use a device with identity issues
P.S All carriers in the US have to really pick up with their network for such an exponential growth in bandwidth. They all suck for the most part though they work well enough for people who are used to it.

Yeah. I agree with everything. Lol. You pretty much talked me out of it, and it wasn't even hard! I have no room in my life for another apple product, the iPad covers it all for now. I have a great phone, I don't want to switch carriers, and my PC runs adobe creative suite beautifully.... Maybe a higher res monitor is all I need. Damn you Steve Jobs and your brilliant marketing of shiny new toys.Tsikura wrote:The iPhone 4 looks aesthetically nice but hardware wise, the technology has been out there on other phones (especially in the Asian market) for years already. Re: iPhone 4
As designer, you must have a 30" monitor! Or atleast 2 24-inch monitors side by side.

Re: iPhone 4
I'm no expert on iPhones or smart phones in general, but from what I can gather I'm not impressed...
All these 'new' features, yet still no flash = sad face.

Re: iPhone 4
There is a flash on the new one... but still, not worth it IMO.
I vote against apple/att, they throttled down the EDGE network years ago when they first started selling the 3G version in a attempt to get users to upgrade out of frustration.
And STILL no ability to receive video texts and view them without logging into a separate website and entering a code and password?
WTF apple?
