Girlfriend..no Ex Girlfriend

I just broke up with my girlfriend in e-mail. Yeah i'm a coward, but i've never been the one to do the breaking up. And i couldn't wait around for her to break up with me. So heres what i said...

This isn't a good way to do this but i cry a lot when saying things like this and i wouldn't get it out face to face.

I like you and i think your great, funny, sweet, kind. But i think we should just go to being friends. There are a lot of things between us that are different and if we started to get more serious would become problems and its best we avoid those things now rather than deal with them later and end up hating each other.

I'm sorry if you feel like our time together was wasted, i really enjoyed spending time with you and getting to know you. Your in my top 5 fav people of all time, and i hope you don't regret meeting me.

Sorry again this isn't face to face, but i'm crying while typing this out so i know i wouldn't be able to say this in person. You will find the guy for you, you deserve to be happy and i'm sure you will be.


I think it was clear in my intentions and reasons, and left her feeling good about herself.

I haven't seen her in like 2 weeks, she sent me a e-mail asking where this relationship was going and why we don't talk as much as we used to. I replied with, i'm not looking to get serious and am really just looking for something casual. Then we stopped talking. So i think we may have already been broken up.

So there, i did have a girlfriend, it can happen!
